100 Interviews 1
A London Life model
Today we meet Osto Model, a 26 year old from London.
He started modeling in 2018-19. He was looking at art on Instagram and began liking some portraits. He started talking to an artist in London, England. The conversation led to his agreement to go model for the artist. It was a good experience and he really enjoyed it. So he began posing, and doing some classes.
Then 2020 hit, and he shifted to online. After 2020 and completing university he moved to London and began modeling more for artist and groups. He now poses for 4-6 groups or artist a month. It is not full time work but bonus money.
He would like for more disabled models to be in the scene, he has a colon bag as he suffers from Chron’s disease. Around 19 he had his main stomach removed, so he has a bag that attaches to his stomach.
He has a job managing a restaurant, and is in a relationship. He wants to travel to Berlin or the Carney Islands as both offer a relaxed nude astrosphere. He enjoys naturist activity including nude hiking which is just beginning to come into season in the UK as Spring weather creates the opportunity to do so.
What he does not enjoy about life modeling are groups that have too much direction in his poses. He isn’t saying he won’t aim for poses the group likes, but he is pointing out groups that overly demand certain poses and reduce the models artistic freedom. He implies modeling is a conversation between artist and model.
The UK does seem to have some nudity in the news, as a venue now no longer allows nude models. This is something in the news and on the mind of many.
He wants to work with more photographers, and hopes to have an art work made from his poses in a museum.
He wants to emphasis life modeling, and naturalism is non sexual, artistic and has elements of freedom.
In the next interviews, he is curious what other life models do not like from life modeling?
My Thoughts
The colon bag stands out in a good way. It caused us to have a conversation as it reminded me of a client in my day job who had a colon bag while in prison. That was a tough situation which I can’t comment further on. I am glad to see a model with it in the nude, it reminds us there’s a lot more to life, and there are conditions that require this bag.
He sat for the nude interview, we did not get to poses, but he was nude. He has a good body, he does have a little belly, but I suggested he is fitter and more muscular than he thinks of himself. He has an excellent body for drawing a normal man. He also has a bit of hair that adds to his masculine features.
It would be cool to pose him nude with hoplite shield and spear. He has an excellent masculine body for a Greek warrior.
I like my concept of nude interviews, and I like the free flowing nature of the interview. I think next time I may ask for a few poses, and I may do a little more description of each persons body.
